FAQs
How long does the battery last?
On a typical yard, you can expect up to 8 hours of use on a single charge. For more demanding tasks like continuous poo picking in hilly fields, you’ll get around 4–5 hours of runtime. For best results, we recommend charging the barrow overnight.
How do I charge it?
Simply plug the charger directly into the wheelbarrow. The battery is built in and not removable. Charging overnight ensures it’s ready to go the next day.
How do I know when it needs charging?
The built-in battery indicator lets you check the charge level at a glance.
Can I overcharge it?
No—just plug it in overnight and it will automatically stop charging when full.
Does the Bolt Barrow go forwards and backwards?
es! The Bolt Barrow features both forward and reverse drive, making it easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces like stable yards and gateways. Just use the thumb trigger to control direction and speed.
Is it fast?
It’s fast enough to get the job done—but safely. The barrow gradually builds up speed rather than jolting forward, giving you smooth, controlled movement even with heavy loads or on uneven ground. It tops out at a steady walking pace (around 5km/h), so you stay in control at all times.
Can I use it on wet or muddy ground?
Absolutely. The heavy-duty wheels are designed for all terrains, including muddy paddocks and uneven fields.
Is it suitable for riding schools or larger yards?
Yes—it’s ideal for both private owners and busy commercial yards. It saves time, reduces strain on staff, and moves large loads with ease.
Is assembly required?
Yes, some assembly is needed, but don’t worry—we provide full instructions and a step-by-step video (coming soon) to make setup easy.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Orders placed before 11am qualify for next working day delivery via pallet courier across the UK.
Can it be used in bad weather?
Yes! Bolt Barrow is waterproof and built for year-round use in stable yards. We recommend storing it under cover when possible—like under a stable overhang—to prolong its life.
Can it handle slopes or ramps?
Absolutely. The Bolt Barrow is designed to manage very steep inclines, including muck heap ramps and uneven terrain.
Where do you ship to?
Currently, we ship across the UK via pallet delivery. If you’re outside the UK and interested, please get in touch with us.
